What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy helps the child develop and maintain everyday skills that will allow them to live their life. This includes occupational tasks like getting dressed, cleaning teeth, holding a pen and learning to communicate properly.
The Occupational Therapist will help the child and the family overcome everyday difficulties and challenges in the home and school environment.
How can Sensory Bound help?
Our Occupational Therapist will identify the skills and behaviours that need developing and will provide the support and assistance required to enable the necessary changes for independent living. This could also include identifying equipment and activities that would benefit the child. We can incorporate the therapy to work at home or in school and provide assistance to parent, carers and school staff.
